Spectacular race lived in Hockenheim. Nico Rosberg won the German GP while Valtteri Bottas followed him. Close to him Lewis Hamilton arrived in third position after starting from 20th position.
At the start, Kevin Magnussen and Felipe Massa have crashed between them. The car of the Brazilian driver has passed the first corner upside down, but Massa is fine. Magnussen has been able to continue the race. Vettel and Alonso have benefited of this situation, taking the third and the fourth position respectively. The Safety Car has been deployed for two laps. Daniel Ricciardo has fallen to P12 after avoiding the accident. Lewis Hamilton has climbed quickly to P13, but overtaking the Red Bull of Ricciardo has been more difficult, and the Englishman has taken benefit of overtakes of Ricciardo.
In lap 10, there has been an incident between Kvyat and Pérez and the Russian driver has spun. In lap thirteen, Kimi Räikkönen has tried to recover position with Ricciardo, but Hamilton has come from the back and has done a double pass. Immediately, first stops have arrived, Alonso has been the first driver to do his pit stop, followed by Vettel, who has joined the track just in front of Alonso and with Räikkönen in front, three in a row in the next straight, and Räikkönen has been overtaken by Vettel and Alonso, the Finnish could do nothing because Vettel and Alonso have closed the inside and the outside respectively in the hairpin.
The Englishman of Mercedes has tried a different strategy, doing a very long stint. In the opposite side, Alonso has been again the first driver to stop for the second time, followed by Vettel, who has lost his position with the Spanish with cold tyres, just like happened in Silverstone, but this time with the help of DRS. In front, Rosberg and Bottas kept their first and second place without any problem, the only threats were the rain and reliability, but Sutil has lost the control of his Sauber in the exit of the last corner, and the car has stopped in the track, it seemed a situation of Safety Car but the marshals have been able to cross the track and take the car out.
Vettel has done a third early stop, which has been a really good strategy, not like Ferrari’s, Alonso has done a long stint and after his final stop, he has joined the track in seventh position, far away from Vettel. Alonso has overtaken Button and has gone for Ricciardo, it has been the start of an impressing fight that has lasted three or four laps, but with a lot of spectacular overtakes. Finally, Hamilton has arrived to Bottas, but his tyres were dying and he has not been able to take the second place.
