Nick Sanchez will debut with Spire in NASCAR Truck at IRP

This weekend, at the Indianapolis Raceway Park, Nick Sanchez will make his first appearance of the 2026 season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the Chevrolet No. 77 from Spire Motorsports.

After a tumultuous year, in which he ended his relationship with Big Machine Racing and started the season with AM Racing before its closure, Sanchez has managed to participate in some races with Peterson Racing.

Despite the difficulties, the IRP will mark his first debut in the truck category for the current season, having 47 previous entries in the NASCAR Truck Series and two wins, in Daytona and Charlotte in 2024. Previously, he has finished both 10th and 11th at the IRP.

Sanchez also has a victory in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, achieved in Atlanta last year. As for his new team, Spire Motorsports has used several drivers in its truck during this season, including names like Carson Hocevar and Parker Kligerman.

So far, the No. 77 has accumulated one victory, with Hocevar celebrating at Texas Motor Speedway.
