Dorna Sports has trialed the shoulder camera on Alex Rins during the Algarve MotoGP FP1 session in a bid to give a brand new view.
The Algarve MotoGP FP1 session had the first glimpse of the shoulder camera which Dorna Sports are trialing to give fans a brand new view. The camera was fitted on the left hand shoulder on the race suit of Suzuki’s Rins, riding the GSX-RR machine.
MotoGP readily uploaded a 2m video of Rins from the FP1 session at Algarve circuit in Portugal. The new innovation seems useful to showcase the two-wheel racing and comes close to helmet camera, which has been trialed in most forms of racing thus far.
This is the first go from MotoGP and Dorna where further trials are likely to take place. Rins, meanwhile, finished fourth and 10th in the two practice sessions, which was topped by the 2021 champion Fabio Quartararo abode his Yamaha M1.
