At speeds over 350 km/h and the world’s best riders pushing their machines to the limit, mistakes can happen. Whether it’s the challenging characteristics of the track, unpredictable weather conditions or even a mechanical failure, everything can change in the blink of an eye. These elements can cause crashes, but sometimes, MotoGP riders pull off real balancing acts to stay on two wheels. Just for you, here are the five best saves of the 2024 season!
Pedro Acosta – Rookie magic
While trying to further improve on his time in FP1 at the French GP, the rookie narrowly escaped a front-end crash at Turn 6, which made everyone hold their breath.
Maverick Viñales – Top save
‘Top Gun’ goes to the rodeo! The Aprilia rider narrowly escaped this incident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya while chasing Fabio Quartararo.
Enea Bastianini – Beast mode
During Practice at Assen, Enea Bastiani entered beast mode as the Italian lost the rear of his Desmosedici GP24 in a spectacular fashion!
Marc Marquez – Turn 10 miracles
Vintage Marquez: Turn 10 at Mandalika was the scene of an incredible front-end save that only the #93 knows the secret to during the opening stages of Practice at the Indonesian GP.
Fabio Quartararo – Lightning fast
‘El Diablo’ stood out in Q1 at the Thai GP with cat-like reactions leading to an unthinkable save that allowed Quartararo to stay on his machine and later improve on his time, which earned him a spot in Q2.
