MotoGP shares scary video of a cameraman escaping getting hit by Pedro Acosta’s bike during his qualifying crash in Hungarian GP.

A video was shared by MotoGP showcasing a scary visual of a cameraman escaping the wild incident of KTM’s Acosta during Q2 of Hungarian GP at Balaton Park. After he slid off onto the gravel, the bike rolled over multiple times to land near the cameraman’s stand at Turn 8.

There was no mention of the said incident during the world feed, though. Apart from the incident, the video showed Acosta stopping to check before heading back to his garage for a second run. He eventually finished seventh in qualifying, but crashed in the sprint race later on. He re-joined to finish 17th in the end.

Acosta lost places at the start after a bold attempt from Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo. The Frenchman also hurt Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi along with Tech 3 KTM’s Enea Bastianini and post-race, he was handed a Long Gap Penalty for Sunday’s race after he caused ‘a dangerous situation and contact involving rider #23’.

Bastianini was handed a double Long Gap Penalty after he rammed into LCR Honda’s Johann Zarco on the opening lap, where Yamaha’s Alex Rins had to take avoiding action and went through the gravel. He got a double since he was involved in a similar incident earlier in the season.
