MotoGP has shared a 3D render video of the upcoming Indonesian GP circuit, which is being built at Lombok region from 2021 onward.

MotoGP is expanding in the Asian region as after its first event in Thailand, the championship is moving towards Indonesia – another emerging market – with the first event scheduled to take place in 2021, at a new circuit in Lombok island.

They are not only building a race track for MotoGP and or World Superbike championships but a whole resort with various other attractions to soak in tourists outside the race events as well. The street circuit will be of 4.32 kilometres with 19 corners in all.

The date for the race is yet to be ascertained but it could be clubbed with the other Asian races to form a chain. There are chances of a bigger shuffle as well with the Australian GP date being talked to be moved forward due to the weather conditions.

The organisers of Indonesian GP, meanwhile, plans to start initial ticket sale from next month’s January 20 until August 20, via via motogp.com and Mandalika Grand Prix Association’s (MGPA) official website, mandalikagrandprix.com.

“By pre-booking tickets, MotoGP superfans will have the opportunity to choose seats either in grandstand or general admission,” said CEO of MGPA Ricky Baheramsjah. Nevertheless, we have not decided the ticket price because we’re still discussing it with Dorna.

“The ticket price will depend on the race day and seating category.” The track’s name is  Mandalika International Street Circuit.
