Key Rankings and Highlights
For 2024, Mugello Circuit has claimed the top spot, recognised as the world’s most sustainable motorsport circuit. Following closely are the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Silverstone, securing second and third places, respectively.
Introduction of Temporary Circuits
This year marks the debut of temporary circuits in the SCI, acknowledging their significant role in various motorsport championships. Marina Bay Street Circuit, Delfi Rally Estonia, and Rally Sweden emerged as the top three temporary circuits, assessed separately from permanent ones.
Most Improved and Honorable Mentions
The Red Bull Ring has been highlighted as the most improved circuit compared to last year’s SCI. Additionally, the Misano World Circuit Simoncelli, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Circuit de La Sarthe (Le Mans) received honorable mentions for their efforts.
Positive Trends in Sustainability
The 2024 SCI indicates a growing commitment to sustainability across motorsport circuits. The decrease in the number of low scores suggests that more circuits are beginning their sustainability journey, reflecting a positive trend towards greater engagement with sustainable practices.
