The Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit expressed its regret over the inconveniences that the fans faced over the F1 Italian GP weekend.
The post COVID-19 era has been troublesome for many circuits around the globe, with multiple news of issues being reported by the fans. The latest to join the list is Monza, where the organisers released a statement expressing regret.
Over the course of the F1 Italian GP weekend, several handles on social media showed their displeasure regarding various things. It ranged from food scarcity, long queues, transport trouble and even to the extent of unruly behaviour.
While it was not the same as reported over the Austrian F1 weekend and or the Belgian GP weekend, but there were some reports of unruly behaviour, mostly down to separate fan bases. The world feed already saw booing against Max Verstappen.
On the organisers’ side, they expressed regret while noting that the attendance level crossed all records and that they are looking at the lapses to improve for the future. “Autodromo Nazionale Monza expresses its regret for the inconvenience of those who, among the many fans who flocked to the last Italian GP, encountered some inconveniences,” said the statement.
“The structure and its people put their best efforts to create an event that surpassed all previous attendance records. For Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the experience of the fans is a priority aspect, and for this reason, a rigorous verification has been started, also with the partners, to ascertain and investigate the origin of any critical issues and take the consequent measures so that this does not happen again in the future.”
