Molina finally blocks the pole at Lausitzring

Miguel Molina will come out from the first position in the first race of the weekend at Lausitzring. Audi confirmed his superiority occupying the top four as the second, third and fourth have described Green, Ekström and Mortara respectively.


 

The first qualifying session of the weekend’s DTM Lausitzring circuit was initiated.

The drivers began their first run and Audi were the fastest on the track, Ekstöm Green and Mortara were the fastest but specifying Molina was the fastest of all. While Wittmann was sanctioned by block another driver.

All drivers came in to change tires and went out to make the second run, and Audi continued showing his superiority though not far Wittmann was fourth. The latter, streamed out of the track causing a yellow flag, which hurts Mortara because he was doing his best lap.

Ekström improved to fourth position and when he was starting another laphe made a spin, the only endangered Molina’s pole was Green who finally could not beat the pole because of pace imposed by the Spaniard.

Fourth pole position for Miguel Molina in the DTM and he will seek his first victory this afternoon at Lausitzring. In the last minutes of classification, Farfus has also been investigated for the same reason that Wittmann. As for the rookies, the best has been Blomqvist.
