Elliott, a 52-year-old British veteran, returns to Enstone after having held the position of chief aerodynamicist during the Renault and Lotus era. Subsequently, he joined Mercedes, where he was head of aerodynamics and played a crucial role in the development of the competition cars from 2014 onward. He rose to become technical director, a position he shared with James Allison before leaving the Brackley team in 2023.
