Wittmann – Molina battle strikes again. Catalan driver hopes for good luck this weekend so he can score the pole this afternoon. Mercedes still suffer and remain on the last part of the timetable.
Miguel Molina wants this weekend to be his weekend. After suffering several penalties and bad luck despite having been in front of the grid and demonstrated great ability, he is still there. And he now wants to win.
Molina’s red Audi set a three tenths faster time than Wittmann’s BMW, second. Glock, Müller, Farfus and Rockenfeller follow him at less than half a second.
The concern is the DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé low level, a second far from first classified excepting Wickens, 8 tenths away. Christian Vietoris – winner of the last chaotic race – after 31 laps he only could set a time more than two seconds slower than Molina.
This afternoon qualifying session is taking place and the race will be tomorrow. There is some possibility of rain.
