Max Verstappen retained the top spot in FP3 of F1 Miami GP from Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez, with both setting quick laps at the end.

It was a very clean FP3 session in F1 Miami GP weekend as big names like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos watched the proceedings from Red Bull and McLaren garages respectively. There were some moments still, but nothing major like seen on Friday.

Red Bull’s Verstappen was on top with a 1m27.535s lap which was more than half a second quicker than Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz until Perez (1m28.050s) went ahead of him, only to be beaten by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to end up second with a 1m27.941s lap.

The laps from Leclerc and Perez pushed Sainz to fourth, with the Spaniard having a wide moment early on. The Alpine pair positioned themselves well in fifth and sixth after a late quick lap, with Esteban Ocon ahead of Pierre Gasly.

Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas was good to be seventh from Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg, Williams’ Alexander Albon and Mercedes’ George Russell in the Top 10. There were moments for the German, the Thai and also the Brit during the course of the session.

Albon, in particular, had a wild one but didn’t hit the wall. Haas’ Kevin Magnussen was 11th from Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso who did not make it in the Top 10. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton was 13th, who also had a difficult session.

The other Aston Martin of Lance Stroll was 14th from Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu as AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda was 16th from Williams’ Logan Sargeant, McLaren pair of Oscar Piastri & Lando Norris and AlphaTauri’s Nyck de Vries.
