The team Mercedes AMG continues relentless in the final free practice for the Grand Prix of Australia followed by Ferrari and Williams respectively.
Lewis Hamilton has been the great ruler of the third free session in the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne. Since their arrival to Australia Mercedes team drivers have not abandoned the top positions in any session and the third was not going to be the exception.
Although the team has not done many laps, the British driver would only need 11 laps to set the fastest time of the session (1.27,867) almost a second faster than his teammate Nico Rosberg. And it was the only driver able to get a lap in 27. A session where times were generally slower than in previous free practices.
But among the silver cars has crept Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, setting the second fastest time of the FP3 and demonstrating that this year the Italian Scuderia may be fighting for the podium.
Williams drivers have been close to the Mercedes and Ferrari with Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa, fourth and fifth respectively, followed by the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkönnen and both Lotus, Grosjean and Maldonado.
