Melbourne, the currently season opener in Formula 1 will stay in the calendar until 2023.
Victorian government and Formula One Management has arrived in an agreement to extend 3 more years the contract, because they already have a contract until 2020.
So, Albert Park semi-urban circuit extended for 3 more years the possibility to keep Formula 1, as Daniel Andrews –premier of Victoria, announced on Facebook:
“The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix is here to stay exactly where it belongs, in the great city of Melbourne,”
