McLaren junior Bianca Bustamante has landed herself in a bit of a social media trouble after liking Lance Stroll-related tweet degrading autistic people.
With her account growing post her signing up with McLaren F1 team, Bustamante has found herself in a bit of a social media trouble already. She joined the team this year and will represent them in F1 Academy in 2024 while racing for ART.
Bustamante has been riding on a wave which brings negativity as well, which is very commonly found in every sport. In one of the tweets where someone tagged her being ‘overrated’, a fan defended her being regarded as that with his/her own take.
The tweet stated: “how can you say she’s overrated when you have people who buy there way into the sport like austism stroll who have talent but if they didn’t have daddy’s money would be replaced instantly, like don’t say overrated till she gets her shot.”
The McLaren junior liked this post where Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll was called out be autistic, thereby not only making fun of the F1 driver but also a genuine disorder. This created a social media stir where there is a mixed bag of opinions.
But on a larger front, Bustamante has apologised for liking a tweet which has degraded people with austism. She notes about her brother also having the same disorder and that she never meant to disrespect Stroll and anyone with the problem.
