The Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen has left everyone amazed after completing his karting challenge, known as ‘Max vs 100’, set in Silverstone, in record time. In this unique competition, the Dutchman managed to surpass 100 amateur competitors in just 14 laps.

The challenge consisted of starting from the back of the grid and advancing over a total of 30 laps on a specially designed circuit that combined karting sections with parts of the Silverstone track.
The driver showcased his skill, finishing the challenge with a spectacular performance that included an initial lap where he overtook 64 rivals, and quickly increased that number to 84 by the fifth lap. ‘When I walked to the grid and saw where I had to start, I thought: ‘phew, it’s very far back’,’ commented an optimistic Verstappen.
After the first lap, he felt that things were going well. ‘It mainly depended on the first two laps. If we clean them up well, I could be in 15 or 20 laps. But the first lap turned out better than I expected, and that helps a lot,’ he added.
The immediate reaction of a driver like Verstappen is clearly superior, as he was able to pass dozens of runners from the starting line before weaving through the distance of the first corner. ‘You just act on instinct in front of what happens. When the lights go on, you see where the spaces are and have to trust the other drivers not to do anything crazy,’ he commented.
