Joey Mawson set another pole position in the ADAC Formel 4 championship this time at Zandvoort, Netherlands. The Australian driver hasn’t had the best quali ever but strategy on traffic help him to be in front of Ortmann and Zendeli.
As always the qualifying was divided in two groups. In the first Group the Prema’s of Schumacher and Vips didn’t managed well the situation and let Thomas Preining (Lechner Racing) led the early minutes without traffic problems.
Then, Lirim Zendeli (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) set the provisional pole driving alone in track while the others –including Prema and Mawson, were in the pits changing tyres.
This situation helped the championship leader who set a 1:38.434 seconds to be in the pole position for race 1. Zendeli follow the Aussie in the group, ahead of Schumacher, Vips and Drugovich (Neuhauser Racing).
In the second group, everyone thought about Ortmann (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) and Juan Manuel Correa (Prema Powerteam) battle for pole. But the German dominate the group despite some drops of rain that didn’t help him to improve Mawson time.
