Marc Márquez broke another record wining 5 race in a row. He is the youngest man to have done this but also we saw Rossi taking his 150th podium in the premier class and Bautista backing on the podium. Here is what the podium finishers said.
1st Marc Márquez, Repsol Honda Team: “I enjoyed quite a lot, especially after the first lap because on the first lap maybe I was too calm, maybe I had too much confidence but then when Lorenzo overtake me I go a little bit wide and then many drivers pass me. But after that, start a great overtakes I enjoyed a lot. I saw Valentino was getting a gap and then I push at 100 % and then when I catch him, I expect a little bit more battle but he did a small mistake and after that I saw was the time to push and to open the gap.”
2nd Valentino Rossi, Movistar Yamaha Factory: “For sure I’m very happy about the race, about the result, I did a very good start when I see “Dovi” and Bradl in front I know I can go a little bit faster in front, then I overtake them I feel good with the bike. I try the maximum, my pace was not so bad, after I waiting for Marc or for Jorge or for Dani, and especially for Marc and when any arrive I try to push a lot for make to them the work difficult, but unfortunately in the crucial moment of the race I did a mistake in breaking and i go wide. It was too easy for Marc, but next race in Mugello I will fight for him to win another time.”
3rd Álvaro Bautista, Go&Fun Honda Gresini MotoGP Team: “After a difficult two races these results give us a lot of confidence, especially because I felt so good during the weekend we work really well. And in the race, at the beginning I saw many drivers doing some mistakes going out of the track, I tried to stay on the track to take calm and then to take my riding. I saw “Vale” and Marc where a little bit faster than me but at the end I was ridding like “Vale” and I think third place here is important for us and now we need to keep working like this way.”
