The one-hour session started at 4 am Spanish time. And although there has been little action, we have seen Webber in his highest level, showing that he is still in top form.
When the session started, the first to be out of the box has been Jules Bianchi in his Marussia. Shortly the practice lasted him, breaking the diffuser, and for this he was back to the pits. In the meantime all the drivers were coming out slowly. Bianchi, has finally been able to continue the session.
In the first 15 minutes Raikkonen was the winner, but Grosjean was trying to beat him very hard, so he exceeded the timetables by marking 1:33.232 while the Finn was 1:33.637. Rosberg was third and following them close behind.
When there were nearly 40 minutes, the championship leader has come to test his car. At that time his partner, Mark Webber put down 500/100 first record of Romain Grosjean.
Vettel is put first, and by radio he complained saying that the engine made a noise that was not normal.
With 20 minutes to finish the session, the two Ferraris, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa had not moved yet.
Vettel and Webber were off of the track once done the work and the Brazilian from Ferrari and also the Spaniard took to make the final practice before qualifying.
It had been too long since there was nothing in the Suzuka International Circuit, and Adrian Sutil had a spin that made him crash into the safety fencing. This caused the yellow flag to be seen around the Japanese track.
In all, there were only 20 minutes remaining of the FP3 .
Alonso was already in the pits, he had only been able to record the ninth and was within a second of Grosjean who was quietly dominating over time: 1:32.707 .
When there were five minutes to finish Alonso came back to the track and achieved a 1:32.800, with it he stood third. Fourth was Massa, right behind his teammate,
In the last three minutes Webber made the best lap of the day: 1:32.053. With this, the Australian was placed first.
The session ended and Mark Webber showed he was still at the level of a Formula 1 driver setting the fastest time of the FP3 .
