Marc Márquez, rider of the Ducati Team, has raised the psychological pressure on his rivals in the MotoGP championship by declaring that his main adversary is himself.

Instead of naming specific individuals, Márquez suggested that his adversaries would not be able to compete with him if he managed to fully recover during the second half of the season. ‘My main rival – or the one that matters most to me – is my physical condition,’ he said. ‘The others don’t worry me. It’s true that they are very fast, but this is my main obstacle: to continue improving my level in the upcoming races.’
In response to questions about his strategy in a championship with so many competitors, Márquez reiterated that his current struggle is against himself. ‘Clearly, if the championship is open, it means that no one has a clear advantage,’ he explained. ‘For example, I believe that [Marco Bezzecchi] has been the fastest during the first part of the season. But he is not the best, because Jorge Martín leads the championship.’
Nevertheless, the former champion stated that at this moment, his fight is something else. ‘After the summer break, I will understand how far I can go this season,’ he concluded.
