Marc Marquez dominates the German Grand Prix training

The German Grand Prix began spectacularly for Marc Marquez, who finished Friday’s training in first position, marking a record time. Three Ducati riders managed to position themselves among the top four, showing intense competition on the track.

The reigning MotoGP champion recorded a time of 1:19.394 with his Ducati, surpassing Aprilia rider Raul Fernandez by 0.166 seconds. For much of the session, the two Italian brands exchanged the lead, providing a magnificent spectacle for the fans.

At the start of the one-hour session, Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi set an impressive time, taking the lead before improving his mark to 1:20.646. This time placed him just over a tenth ahead of the Ducatis of Marquez and Alex Marquez, while Fernandez remained in fourth.

The classification saw no changes until halfway through the session, when Bezzecchi managed to improve his time, thus increasing the advantage over his rivals. His time remained at the top until the last fifteen minutes, when Fabio Di Giannantonio from the VR46 team achieved a spectacular 1:20.104.

Alex Marquez lowered his time, coming close to Bezzecchi, but it was Marc Marquez who, with 14 minutes left in the session, positioned himself in first place, becoming the first rider to lap under 20 seconds.

Di Giannantonio did not give up and regained first place with a time of 1:19.674, followed by Alex Marquez, who also improved his record, placing second. Finally, in an exciting finish, Marc Marquez set a time of 1:19.394 on his last attempt, staying in the lead by a minimal difference.

Fernandez was his closest competitor in second place, while Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez occupied third and fourth positions, respectively. Jack Miller finished fifth with his Yamaha Pramac, while the rest of Aprilia finished with Bezzecchi, Jorge Martin, and Ai Ogura just behind him.

One of the most notable details was the performance of Francesco Bagnaia, who finished in 13th place, far from the top 10 that would have directly qualified him for Q2. His speed may have been affected by a yellow flag that interrupted the session due to a crash by Enea Bastianini.

Finally, during the last minutes, Franco Morbidelli secured the tenth position, thereby guaranteeing his presence in the qualifying. Competition is on the rise, and expectations for the rest of the weekend are extremely high.
