The Ducati Team rider, Marc Márquez, has announced that he will take advantage of the MotoGP break to focus on his physical condition with the aim of returning in top form to contest his eighth world title in the premier category. After winning the German Grand Prix, Márquez has moved from fifth to third place in the championship, with a total of 37 points earned at Sachsenring.
Instead of enjoying holidays at the beach, Márquez sees the summer break as an opportunity to put his struggles with injuries behind him. Since suffering a fall in Mandalika at the end of last year, he has experienced a rollercoaster of physical conditions. Despite winning three of the last four races, he acknowledges that his right arm is still not at a hundred percent.
To compete on all types of circuits during the second half of the season, Márquez believes it is essential to maintain a consistent training rhythm. “During the break, I will try to rest mentally, but I will keep working physically. I can’t train every day like before; I need more time to get my level back,” he stated at the press conference after his dominant victory in Germany.
Additionally, the rider revealed that he lives in Madrid to access quality training equipment. He also mentioned the stress involved in the start of the 2025 season, marked by a prior operation that had affected his feel on the bike. Nonetheless, he hopes to face the upcoming challenges with less nervousness and better physical condition.
