Manor Racing won’t compete in the next Formula 1 season due to economic issues and after not get any new investor to save the team. The F1 grid will be reduced to ten teams.
For many weeks, there has been some speculation about this news. Over the time rumours have been increasing, to become a reality Manor has failed to find an investor and has to say goodbye in the Major series of motorsport.
A statement issued by the team said: “There is a chance until January 31, but it is unlikely“. For this reason, 212 workers who were in charge of Manor have been fired. It was rumoured that an Indonesian investor would buy the team, in order to benefit Rio Haryanto, but eventually this didn’t come out.
