Indian driver Arjun Maini will make his GP3 debuts at Silverstone with Jenzer Motorsports.
The 18-year-old Indian driver, Arjun Maini, has been named to replace Oscar Tunjo for the third round of the 2016 GP3 Series championship at Silverstone. It is not excluded that he might become titular for the rest of the season.
Currently engaged in the European championship of Formula 3 with Threebond, Arjun Maini struggles a lot more than in his previous years due to the engine singularity of ThreeBond –the only team not having a Mercedes or Volkswagen engine in the championship- as he is the only driver of the team. Due to financial reasons, the team could not take part in the last meeting at Norisring.
After successful years in Asia, Maini arrived in Europe in 2014 and finished runner-up of the BRDC F4 championship, only a few points behind George Russell. In 2015, he got into the Formula 3 championship with Van Amersfoort Racing, ending eighteenth overall.
