Arjun Maini is the quickest man on day two of post-season testing at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. The Indian took the lead in the evening session, less than a tenth ahead of Louis Deletraz and Alexander Albon.

The morning session saw Louis Deletraz top the timesheet yet again, he clocked in a 1:49.134 being slower than his best time yesterday. The swiss was closely followed by Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi.

Lando Norris was the first driver to set a competitive lap time in the early session, with most teams concentrating on the long run pace. Albon and Tadasuke Makino not far behind the briton to try and close the gap. It was a little fight for the top spot between LatifiAlbon and Makino, the three of them trying to be the quickest, but eventually Albon took the top of the timesheet with about 20 minutes left in the session. Yet Deletraz came and delivered, topping the timesheet at the end of the morning session by less than a tenth.

The evening session saw more action, with a lot of drivers aiming to accomplish competitive qualifying like laps. Going into the sunset, Deletraz seemed like the man to beat again, but Albon was never too far from the Swiss. Nyck de Vries was also to be found at the top in this session, being within a tenth of Deletraz‘ time. Even though the session seemed to be mainly focused on the longer runs again and with different conditions, the times were more competitive. Maini, who tested with this year’s team champions, saw his opportunity and took a chance to beat the Swiss’ time. The Indian driver delivered and took the top spot on day two of post-season testing in Abu Dhabi.

With Arjun Maini on top of the timesheet, the day’s top 10 is then completed by Louis Deletraz and Alexander Albon in 2nd and 3rd. Nyck de VriesLando NorrisSantino FerrucciJack Aitken, Nicholas Latifi, Tadasuke Makino and Oliver Rowland completes that top 10.
