Magnussen leads the first day of the Young Drivers Test

Quiet morning at Silverstone, with only a red flag that has not been produced by any car but the rescue car at the entry of the circuit.
The teams were able to seize the day, because the weather in Silverstone has been sunny and warm, where teams have used for aerodynamic tests mainly, like Davide Rigon (Ferrari), Nicolas Prost (Lotus) who incidentally will also run on Friday after the decision not to participate of the Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen on the last day (like Red Bull with Webber, Ricciardo will be in his place), or Daniel Juncadella who also made aerodynamic tests but has suffered an oil leak in a radiator, on his debut in a Formula 1 car. Frijns with Sauber has made checks on the car setting.
In key results, Calado (Force India) has been the one who has been at the top in the morning, the Briton who is the first time he gets on a Formula 1 car, has been focused more in making long runs.
Must also be said that the teams are in the old box uildings, and not in the new one called “The Wing” and that Pirelli has brought 3 sets of hard tyres, 2 mediums and 2 prototype hard, all with the 2012 form and structure but with compound of 2013.
The results of the morning were: Calado, Da Costa, Frijns, Prost, Rossi, Rigon, Cecotto, Ellinas, Magnussen, Juncadella.
At noon, Magnussen (Mclaren) has taken up the lack of activity on track to make a quite long run. Remember also that Marussia has exchanged drivers: Chilton was in place of Ellinas, and in Force India Di Resta was replacing Calado, in both cases the changes were in order to test the new Pirelli tyres prototype.
Also in the afternoon at Ferrari has followed its aerodynamic testing.
In results, Magnussen after making many laps, set the fastest time of the session followed by Di Resta, Da Costa, Calado, Juncadella, Cecotto, Frijns, Prost, Rigon, Rossi, Ellinas, and Chilton.
