Alex Lynn set the fastest time in the GP3 qualifying session and will start today’s race from first place. Kirchhofer completes the first row of the grid.
The first pole of the season in the GP3 series was for the rookie Lyyn. The Red Bull Junior Team driver wiill start the race of this afternoon from the first position and with four points in the standings.
Fontana took the early lead of the session, followed by Eriksson and Kujala. Then, Kirchhofer went top, improving Fontanta’s time. Lynn climbed to second place.
Yelloly went fourth just before the pit stops. Eriksson set the best lap of the session and Zamparelli was second, Minutes later, Kirchhofer was leading the timesheets.
In the last effort for all the driver, the times improved. Stanaway went second but Lynn took the lead with an advantage of one tenth of a second. Many purple sectors were set, specially in the first one, but no one could beat Lynn and the Briton got the pole position. Kirchhofer, Stanaway, Eriksson and Kujala completed the top 5.
