Lorenzo show off his hammer time & clearly wins at Qatar

Jorge Lorenzo makes open-mouthed everyone with his incredible pace that prevail today at Losail International Circuit for the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix. Dovizioso was second despite his high-speed advantage. Márquez completes the podium.

Pre-race Michelin, a problem for every rider

The pre-race was noticeable for the doubts of what tyre could have been the best to ride today. Most of people decided to start with softer compounds, which makes the difference at the end of the Grand Prix.

Ducati takes the early lead and a poor management

Andrea Iannone who started fourth in the grid took the early lead in front of his team mate in Ducati, Andrea Dovizioso. Ahead of Ducati’s, Lorenzo drop to third as Rossi followed him in front of the Honda’s. Maverick Viñales who started from row 1, had lost a lot of time in the start and he was only able to follow the Honda of Pedrosa after the start.

Iannone and “Dovi” made a little gap of 3 tenths with the champion, but they started to battle between each other and that caused the crash of Iannone. Lorenzo take the advantage of this to overtake Dovizioso for the lead.

Lorenzo in a class of his own

The Spanish rider then led until the checker flag. No one was available to catch the three-time MotoGP champion. Dovizioso couldn’t catch him despite the high-speed from the Ducati.

But in the battle for the win, there was someone who at least, tried the best of himself to beat his compatriot. He is Marc Márquez who during the race was able to overtake Rossi and Dovizioso.

Honda rider didn’t catch Lorenzo who was on his hammer time. He set twice the circuit record lap with 1:54.927. An impossible pace for Márquez who at the end of the race was beat by Dovizioso for second position.

Lorenzo won his second race in a row, and his first of the year. Dovizioso followed him after beat Márquez who completes the podium. Rossi and Pedrosa completes the top10.
