Lewis Hamilton reveals his plans for movies, documentaries, and TV series about F1

Lewis Hamilton has shared details about the future of his production company, Dawn Apollo Films, which plans to develop a series of projects over the next five years, including a sequel to F1: The Movie and other productions.

The original film has recently stood out in the awards season, including recognition at the Oscars, where it won the award for Best Sound. After earning over 630 million dollars worldwide, it’s not surprising that a continuation is in the works.

In a press conference in Japan, the seven-time world champion explained that the team is currently in the writing process, and they already have a complete first draft. “I’m in the process of creating something called Apollo, which is the production company I started,” Hamilton commented. “We’re working on the second script right now, so we had the first meetings in the middle of last year, and we already have a first draft of the direction we want to take. This will take time.”

In addition to the F1 sequel, Hamilton has also confirmed that he is working on several projects, including a television series and “at least one documentary” that he has already written. “I have other things in the works, I’ve written a few scripts that I want to finish, they are my own stories or ideas that I’ve thought of. There should be a TV series. There will be a documentary, at least one documentary. This will extend over the next five years,” he noted.

The F1 film followed the journey of Sonny Hayes, a driver played by Brad Pitt, who returns to Formula 1 to help the struggling APXGP team along with rookie driver Joshua Pearce. It has yet to be confirmed whether the sequel will continue the story of Hayes and Pearce or if new characters will be introduced.
