Charles Leclerc wins the Crypto.com ‘Overtake of the Year’ award after fans voted his move in Las Vegas GP as the best of the 2023 season.

Ferrari’s Leclerc beat his own and six other overtakes to win the Crypto.com ‘Overtake of the Year’ award for 2023 F1 season in fan vote. The last lap pass by the Monegasque during Las Vegas GP on Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was voted as the best of the year.

That overtake also won the ‘Overtake of the Month’ award for November. In the monthly awards, Leclerc had won the overtake of the month for August/September as well for his move against Mercedes’ George Russell in F1 Japanese GP.

Other than Leclerc, Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso won the award for three times in March, April and June. The first one was for his move against Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain GP, the second was for move against Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz in Azerbaijan GP.

The final one was also for his move against Hamilton in Canadian GP. The May award went to Haas’ Kevin Magnussen against Williams’ Logan Sargeant in Monaco GP, with Perez winning in June in Hungarian GP against McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, while the October award went to McLaren’s Lando Norris against Mercedes’ George Russell in Mexico GP.
