Charles Leclerc reaffirms his loyalty to Ferrari

Charles Leclerc has made it clear that he has never considered leaving the Ferrari team, just after signing a new contract that will ensure his continuity with the legendary team until 2028.

Since joining Ferrari in 2019, Leclerc has competed in 155 Grand Prix, achieving 27 pole positions and eight victories. Despite his achievements on track, the Monegasque driver currently sitting in third place in the 2026 championship has not had a car in his hands that allows him to compete seriously for the title.

In a recent interview, Leclerc highlighted that, although he has had conversations about possible offers from other teams, he has never seriously considered a change. “I haven’t considered alternatives,” he stated. “There have been conversations, but they are more related to my manager, Nicolas Todt, than to me. What I want has always been clear”.

Leclerc has expressed his confidence in the plan outlined by the current director of the team, Fred Vasseur, who believes he can bring Ferrari back to the highest level. “The main factor is believing in the project. My love for Ferrari is evident, so I didn’t need to think about it much. Also, I see that there is innovation and a hardworking team in Maranello”.

Despite the lack of titles so far, Leclerc thanks Ferrari for betting on him at crucial moments in his career. “I would like to have more victories and a world championship, yes, but I know that racing for the team that has always been my dream is very important. Without their trust, I don’t know if I would be here right now”.
