Charles Leclerc has made the pole position for the first race of the FIA ??Formula 2 in the circuit of Barcelona-Catalonia. Luca Ghiotto and Nyck de Vries complete the TOP3.

In the first round of laps of the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, the riders knew of the importance it had since, in the afternoon, the track gets worse and it is difficult to improve the times.

In a first few minutes dominated by Jordan King (MP Motorsport), the British driver was in a favorable position to get the pole position but, in the second round, Luca Ghiotto (Russian Time) and Nyck de Vries (Rapax) improived the Brit’s time to get the provisional pole.

A red flag caused by Nabil Jeffri (Trident), who watched as his car stopped, caused the session to stop with five minutes left, leaving time to complete only a quick lap.

Ghiotto, De Vries and King decided not to leave the box and saw the young Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc get his second pole position of the season.
