Charles Leclerc proves once again that he is the best-fit driver in the FIA ??Formula 2 after dominating the practice session of the Silverstone round. The Monegasque has been ahead of Rowland and Ghiotto.

In the first few minutes, Ferrari Driver Academy driver Charles Leclerc (Prema Racing) was already leading the timesheet followed by Nicholas Latifi (Dams) and Luca Ghiotto (Russian Time).

During the session, Oliver Rowland (Dams) and Ghiotto himself would improve the times, but it was always Leclerc who sooner or later returned to the top position. The leader of the championship, with a time of 1:40.695, was three tenths faster than Rowland and half a second faster than Ghiotto and Latifi. Russian Time’s Artem Markelov completes the top5.

In this session, we have also seen the debut of a candidate for the Formula 3 title, Callum Ilott (Trident). The Brit has finished eighteenth, a second and six tenths from Leclerc.
