Koiranen GP launches Winter Junior Challenge

For the first time in Europe, on F4-T014 Tatuus cars powered by Abarth, the Finnish team Koiranen GP launches its Winter Junior Challenge!

To allow young drivers to compete in two European rounds, on the two legendary circuits of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain from 4th to 6th of December and on Portimao, Portugal from 9th to 11th of December.

Each round will have Fridays as full testdays, two times thirty minutes Free Practice on Saturday, followed by one fifteen minutes qualifying session and Race 1. Sundays will host twenty minutes qualifying session plus Race 2 and Race 3.

“Creating this championship is giving the chance to young drivers to train and learn before getting into a full championship where the competition will be very hard. They will have, on top of their winter testing program, the possibility to have real races to prepare themselves”, says Afa Heikkinen, Koiranen GP CEO.

“We have the same single-operation system as in our different F4 Championships. Drivers only come with their racing gear and we take care of the rest”, says Marko Koiranen, Koiranen GP Chairman.

The WJC price is 49.000€ per driver, with a limited number of cars for its maiden season. The Winner will get a 75.000€ cheque to support his entry in the F4 Spanish Championship certified by FIA.
