Jordan King dominated a difficult race with a wet track. Rowland finished 2nd and Lynn completed the podium after starting on 11th.

The race started after the Safety Car due to the big amount of water on track. The SC left after 4 laps and Marciello quickly started gaining positions, climbing up to 4th behind Rowland, Nato and King, who defended the lead from the attacks of his teammate. The SC made a second appearance after Pic left Gelael on the gravel.

At the restart, Ghiotto and Latifi had a beautiful battle for 5th, while Rowland, Marciello and Ghiotto overtook Nato and went for the win. Behind, Sirotkin and Giovinazzi recovered from the back. Meanwhile, Eriksson, who had started from P5, was already P10 and made a mistake which made him fall down to P19. Giovinazzi lost his momentum when he run wide through the gravel and went from P9 to P13.

Nato lost another position with Latifi and was P6. However, he lost position with the other 4 drivers behind after fighting with Evans for a whole lap. King was still leading with a 4 second gap with Rowland, who had Marciello and Ghiotto close behind for the podium fight. Lynn, who was 11th a few laps earlier, was on P5 and setting fastest laps after taking advantage of the train of cars which was behind Nato. Evans, Latifi, Sirotkin, Gasly and Nato completed the top 10.

Lynn caught Ghiotto very quickly and aimed for Marciello‘s P3. Meanwhile, Sirotkin and Gasly overtook Latifi for P6, while Giovinazzi tried hard to get ahead of Nato, but the Frenchman defended very well for 2 laps. Latifi made a little mistake which allowed Giovinazzi to get P9.

Markelov decided to gamble on slicks since the track was drying up relatively quickly. Latifi spun and his car got stuck at the pit lane exit, so the Safety Car went out for one lap. Many drivers pitted for slicks, but the SC was so short that it didn’t allow them to catch up with the leading group. Marciello made a little mistake when trying to overtake Rowland and Lynn went ahead of him. Giovinazzi overtook Gasly and Evans in 2 corners, and Gasly was able to pass Evans as well. Giovinazzi overtook Sirotkin one lap later and was already P6 wiith 2 laps to go, but he didn’t stop there and stole P5 from Ghiotto.

Finally, King won ahead of Rowland and Lynn. Marciello, Giovinazzi, Sirotkin, Gasly and Evans completed the points, while Ghiotto fell down to P9 after spinning in the last corner. Canamasas completed the top 10 ahead of Markelov, who was 5 seconds faster than the rest with slicks by the end of the race.
