Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the current leader of the Formula 1 championship, has taken advantage of his Easter break to visit the famous VR46 ranch of Valentino Rossi in Tavullia, Italy. This getaway is set within a five-week period without competitions, resulting from the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grands Prix.
After a standout start to the season with two consecutive victories in China and Japan, Antonelli has established himself as a serious title contender. In this context, he chose to spend a weekend full of adrenaline at the ranch of the seven-time MotoGP champion.
During the Easter weekend, Antonelli shared images on social media showcasing his time at the ranch, where he met current MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy. Meanwhile, while other riders enjoyed the dirt tracks, Antonelli opted to observe the action from the ground, demonstrating his dedication to preparing for future challenges.
Currently, Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings with 72 points, with his Mercedes teammate George Russell just 9 points behind. After his victory in Japan, Antonelli expressed his satisfaction with the performance: “It feels good. It’s early to think about the championship, but we are on the right track.”
The next Formula 1 competitions will continue with the Miami Grand Prix, which will take place from May 1 to 3 at the Miami International Autodrome.
