German driver Keyvan Andres Soori will join Motopark in his maiden season in the FIA European F3 championship.

After only two years in go-karting competitions, he made his debuts in formula racing at the early age of 13 in the USA in the Skip Barber Winter Series of which he won the title. He then spent two years in the USF2000 championship and joined the Mazda Road to Indy programme.

In 2016, Keyvan Andres moved back to Europe in EuroformulaOpen, finishing twelfth overall with Carlin. He also took part into the 2017 Toyota Racing Series, finishing thirteenth. He says:

‘I am really excited to take part in the 2017 FIA F3 championship, especially with a team like Team Motopark, I have done all my winter test days with them, and it all went well. My goal is to win the rookie championship, and I know this year is going to be a tough one. Another important subject is that I want to improve myself as a driver, and Motopark has everything I need to do so.’

Timo Rumpfkeil, Team Motopark’s principal, added:

“He is very young, and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is a big and important step for him to take. Last year he first encountered European motorsports in the Euro Open championship. In the winter, we had a sequence of tests with him, and he performed very well. We have a clear two-year plan, so he can develop his skills without any stress or pressure. We aim to be a serious contestant for the rookie title. After stabilising our results towards the end of the first season, we are optimistic about finishing among the top eight.”

Andres Soori will try to do as well as his teammate, Joel Eriksson, did last year by claiming the rookie championship.
