The July 4th race, a highly sought-after date for fans, used to be a tradition at Daytona for decades. In recent years, the event has traveled between various tracks, including Indianapolis, Road America, and Chicago. The last event on July 4th took place at Chicagoland Speedway for the 2026 season.
The governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, has also celebrated the fact of hosting this iconic event on Independence Day, adding that it has been an extraordinary opportunity to promote the use of a clean and economical fuel like E15.
