The MotoGP rider, Jorge Martín, has been optimistic ahead of the final stretch of the season, stating that his past difficulties are overcome and that he is ready to face the last five Grand Prix with competitiveness.

Martín, who competes with the Aprilia Racing Team, has had an irregular path during the championship, alternating brilliant performances with moments when he has lagged behind the top positions. After a complicated start to the season, he achieved a victory and a second place at Silverstone, but fell back in Aragon and San Marino due to physical problems.

In his last race at Mandalika, Martín achieved a third place, which has allowed him to regain the top position in the overall standings, surpassing Marc Márquez of Ducati. Although he could not keep pace with his teammates, Marco Bezzecchi and Raúl Fernández, who finished first and second, he feels encouraged by his performance.

“I am happy to have my third consecutive podium with Aprilia; it’s super nice,” Martín declared. “I feel confident that I will be fast in all the remaining races. Of course, there were races where I thought I would suffer and, indeed, I did suffer. Now, however, I don’t feel that I will suffer anymore. I will be very competitive and I am very focused on what is coming.”

Despite losing a clear opportunity for victory in the sprint race, where poor tire pressure management played a trick on him, Martín focused on the positives, emphasizing that he is continuously improving as the season progresses.

“It was a great opportunity to win in the sprint, but that’s competition; sometimes you win and sometimes you learn,” he added. “Sunday was a great day. We have regained the lead. There are still five races to go, and I feel like I am getting faster to fight for the title.”

Regarding his performance in Mandalika, Martín acknowledged that he lacked experience with his bike, the RS-GP, on the Indonesian track, which put him at a disadvantage compared to his teammates.

Martín trusts that consistency and speed will be key in his championship battle: “Consistency is fundamental, speed too, and you need to be smart. Each race lacks something, a little that I’m missing every day. I hope that won’t be what penalizes me at the end of the season, but we are always there, always adding points, and almost always on the podium.”
