The British Jamie Day has got the victory on the OK Junior category during the second round of the WSK Super Master Series at the South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy. Day took advantage of the accident between Bedrin and Severiukhin to cross the finish line in first place ahead of Ten Brinke and Zhivnov.

After a weekend with absolute dominance by Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex / Vega), in which the Russian had achieved the victory in all the elimination rounds in which he had drived, and the victory in the pre-final, Bedrin was not the one who was in pole position for the final, but this position was for Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR / IAME / Vega).

At the start, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, of the Rosberg Racing Academy team, maintained the first position and immediately escaped the rest of the competitors that would enter the fight for the second position.

A second position in which Nikita Bedrin of the Tony Kart Racing Team was consolidated, that after a bad start in which he would go down to fifth place, he would only need 3 laps to climb up to the first place.

But the final was a race of surprises. The first was to see how Andrea Kimi Antonelli had to enter the box to place her pontoon properly. That allowed Nikita Bedrin to take the lead near the seventh lap.

Nikita Bedrin, led comfortably ahead of Thomas Ten Brinke (FA Kart / Vortex / Vega) and Artem Severiukhin (Tony Kart / Vortex / Vega). Ten Brinke would be overtaken by Severiukhin after two laps, he would also overtake Jamie Day (Exprit / Vortex / Vega).

When arriving to the last lap, Severiukhin tried the maneuver on Bedrin but the two would touch in a spectacular accident that made annoy much to the pilot of Tony Kart that arrived at the hands with his compatriot, according to some sources.

This accident allowed Jamie Day to get his first international victory crossing the finish line with his Lennox Racing Team. Ricky Flynn Motorsport driver Thomas Ten Brinke repeated the podium in the championship with the second position, while Andrey Zhivnov of the Kosmic Racing Department team got the last step of the podium.

The championship is closer than ever. Rafael Camara of the Birel ART Racing team loses the lead after failing to reach the final. It is the young man from Rosberg, Andrea Antonelli who comes to the front of the standings with 94 points, 4 points more than Thomas Ten Brinke and 5 more than Camara.

Now a week of rest before facing the third round of the WSK Super Master Series at the International Circuit of La Conca.
