Isack Hadjar, driver of Red Bull Racing, expressed his frustration after his collision with Kimi Antonelli during the Formula 1 sprint in Shanghai. The Frenchman coldly rejected the Italian driver’s apology.

After causing an accident on the first lap, Antonelli, who secured pole for Sunday’s race, approached Hadjar to apologize. However, the Frenchman’s response was not what was expected: he gestured for the Italian to leave and rejected the excuse before exiting his vehicle.

This reaction has generated a wave of comments on social media, including those from Ralf Schumacher, who commented on the Sky Deutschland program: “Normally, you don’t act like this, as he is a very impulsive person and can become frustrated. We shouldn’t judge him immediately. After 20 laps, maybe you consider things differently”.

In a post-sprint interview, Hadjar did not discuss the incident with Antonelli but expressed his confusion over the Italian driver’s behavior, indicating that he did not understand why he was so worked up given that he had a car with great performance potential. “Well, these things happen,” he remarked.

Hadjar finished the race in 15th position, while he has qualified for Sunday’s race from the fifth row, starting ninth.
