Road America announces the IndyCar date for 2027

Fans of open-wheel racing should mark their calendars, as Road America has confirmed that the IndyCar Series will return to host the XPEL Grand Prix from June 24 to 27, 2027.

This announcement comes shortly after the IndyCar Series unveiled Phase One of its calendar for 2027, which was made public earlier this week and includes the first eight races of the championship up to early June. The new date at Road America thus becomes a key point for the competition’s calendar.

The four-day motorsports festival will bring back North America’s premier open-wheel series to the historic 4.048-mile and 14-turn circuit in eastern Wisconsin. Top drivers and teams will compete over four days of intense practice, qualifying, and wheel-to-wheel action at one of the most challenging and fastest circuits in international racing.

In addition to the intense on-track competition, the XPEL Grand Prix presents itself as an iconic summer destination for the whole family. With 640 acres of land, Road America provides a fan-focused experience that includes camping at the track, interactive family activities, fan experiences, and a wide range of popular concessions. Spectators can freely move around the circuit’s various viewing areas throughout the weekend.

To celebrate the announcement of the date, Road America has opened advance ticket sales. Tickets for the full four-day weekend are now available at a special advance price of $140 for a limited time. Track officials encourage fans to purchase tickets soon to secure the discounted price and start planning their itinerary for the 2027 race weekend.

The complete event schedule and additional activities for fans will be announced at a later date. Currently, tickets, camping reservations, and more event details are available at RoadAmerica.com.
