Jake Hughes won the sprint race in Abu Dhabi ahead of Jack Aitken y Nirei Fukuzumi.
Fukuzumi had a wonderful start which brought him from 4th to 1st in the first corner, but he lost it on the braking on the dirty sandy inside. Hughes took advantage of the first 3 running wide and took the lead ahead of Aitken, Fukuzumi, Dennis, Schothorst, Joerg, Palou and Tereschenko. Albon had a big crash after making contact with Calderon on the straight.
Palou overtook Joerg and Schothorst after the restart and was already P5. The battle continued among the Campost drivers with Tereschenko overtaking Schothorst. With 4 laps to go, the podium was still undecided with Aitken, Fukuzumi and Dennis very close to each other and Palou getting closer from behind. Dennis attacked Fukuzumi in the last lap but was unable to overtake him.
Finally, Hughes was the winner of the last GP3 race of the season. Aitken and Fukuzumi completed the podium. Behind them, Dennis, Palou, Tereschenko, Schothorst and Joerg brought home the last points of the season. The GP3 Champion, Charles Leclerc, made up many positions from the back of the grid and ended P9.
