Hinchcliffe leads first free practice in Long Beach

The Canadian has been the fastest in the first practice session played in the circuit of Long Beach, California, USA, of the Verizon IndyCar Series.

First practice session marked by the initial domain of Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing), followed by Saavedra, Hinchcliffe (Andretti Autosport), debutant Hawksworth (BHA / Curb with BBM – Agajanian) and Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing) in the top 5.
5 minutes later, Josef Newgarden (Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing) caused the first red flag of the weekend, when he was in second position.
With the green flag back on track, Hinchcliffe got the first place, and dominated until the end of the session.
It is worthy to note that this weekend Oriol Servia, the Catalan, debuts running for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing until the date of the Indy 500; other races are uncertain for the Indy Lights champion in 1999.
Finally, Hichcliffe finished first, followed by Castroneves, Wilson, Hunter-Reay and Newgarden as the fastest of the session.
