The mother of the Indonesian driver says that her son will not race in F1 after the Sauber deadline.
She stated that they had a contract with Sauber, when they declared their former sponsor Pertamina against returning to the English team. Manor kept Haryanto 12 races (from Australia to Germany). However, due to problems with its sponsors (Pertamina had not completely paid the economic conditions that were necessary for the team) was replaced by Ocon for the remaining 9 races.
In addition, Pertamina has stated that they won’t sponsor Rio Haryanto anymore.
“Our internal process takes time and we have not been able to meet the deadline.”
