The first free practice of the Malaysian Grand Prix finishes and Lewis Hamilton is the fastest on track, followed by Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Rosberg, closing the top 3.
The session has developed normally and without many surprises. Regarding the performance of the cars, we should wait to watch P2 when the soft tyres will be used, but it seems that Mercedes is still the fastest, although the fast corners of the circuit have Ferrari as their favourite.
Fernando Alonso finished the session in the 11th position, a position that does not bear good performance with the assumption of Ferrari; the Spaniard hasn’t used his second set of hard tyres.
Button finished 4th followed by Magnussen.
