Lewis Hamilton has taken his third victory of this Formula 1 2014 championship after dominate from start to finish the Chinese GP. Behind the Briton, the podium battle was so thigh and Rosberg finally finished 2nd ahead of Alonso who takes the first Ferrari podium this season.
Hamilton started so well keeping the first position, but behind the Mercedes, Alonso and Massa had a contact wheel to wheel. Anyway, the Spanish driver took the third place between the Red Bull’s, meanwhile Rosberg down to the seventh place after contact with Bottas.
Hamilton created a good distance with Vettel on second place, and Rosberg comeback to the 5th place. The tyre change started and thanks to this Alonso overtook Sebastian Vettel in the meantime Sutil had retired of the race due to engine problems and Massa had lost a lot of time in the pit stop.
Halfway of the race the Vettel’s pace was going down and this helped Alonso, Rosberg and Ricciardo. The German Mercedes driver surpassed his compatriot and then his Red Bull teammate did the same.
Less than 20 laps to go, the second pit stop window was open but the top 5 position didn’t change.
Ultimately, Hamilton wins his 25th victory of his career equalling the same victories of the mythical Niki Lauda.
Now, Rosberg continues on front of the championship with only 4 points of distance with Lewis Hamilton. Alonso takes the third place but is too far from Rosberg with 38 points of distance.
