Isack Hadjar was confident to score in F1 Spanish GP as he continues to deliver results, which is what he wants to do in a competitive midfield fight.

It was another points finish for Visa Cash App RB’s Hadjar in F1 Spanish GP. The Frenchman has been consistently delivering after the departure of Yuki Tsunoda to Red Bull. While Liam Lawson has been a hit and miss, the rookie has taken up the mantle to keep his team alive in the championship.

Delivering good result is the focus of Hadjar. Despite losing out to Nico Hulkenberg in the closing stages, the Frenchman was not too bogged down by the result. He was confident of points after FP2 and it worked out well, which included early race fights with Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso.

“It still feels fantastic,” said Hadjar to media. “It is not really about points but more about delivering a good race and we are delivering good races recently, so yeah. Honestly, we were very confident because we knew that we have pace advantage to clear the midfield cars, so we extended on the soft and just get big tyre advantage for the medium stint.

“We had a good stint on Friday in FP2 on the soft [which helped to know]. The medium stint pace was great and honestly everything was going like planned, to secure some points. With penalties applied, it is P6, yeah I think really happy.

“Yeah, I mean, I pulled out some good moves but I had good tyre advantage, this is definitely helping but I enjoyed those moves, only with Pierre, especially that Lap 1 fight with Pierre and Fernando was fun,” summed up Hadjar.
