Grosjean dominates the rainy second day in Montmeló

One more day, the rain has been the protagonist in these preseason tests in Montmeló. The session has already started from the beginning with the wet track. The rain has been making intermittent appearances on the circuit, but the water level has been decreasing on track to the point that drivers could use dry tires at some point in the session. By late afternoon the rain has returned to make an appearance, so not all of the drivers have improved their times in the morning.

The time table this morning was chaotic due to the constant improvement of the track. Practically all the drivers have gone through the first position, with improvements in the time up to 3 seconds at once, so we can not take time as something relevant today. Everyone knows that the preseason tests can not provide more than small clues, but when there is rain everything is even less clear.

After the midday break, most of the teams have focused on making long runs, as we have seen with Rosberg and Alonso. Are precisely they who have completed the most laps, with 120 and 102 respectively have been the only ones to overcome the barrier of 100. Moreover, Giedo van der Garde has been who has made fewer turns, and to this we must add the red flag that he has caused near the end of the session by stopping with his Caterham on track. The other red flags have been caused by Ricciardo and Grosjean in the morning, and Maldonado later in the afternoon.
