Luca Ghiotto has set the fastest lap of the GP3 Series practice in Barcelona, finishing in front of his teammate, Oscar Tunjo and Mathéo Tuscher.
The practice session of GP3 Series the red flags were one of the protagonist. Two red flags in a 45-minutes-session, “helps” the drivers to save tyres for tomorrow and Sunday.
Ceccon was the first that caused a red flag after stops at turn 9 due to an engine problem. Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon led the standings with his ART.
His teammate in ART, and one of the favorites to win this championship, Marvin Kirchhofer, had went off at turn 3, thus provoked another red flag.
After this red flag, with 5 minutes to go, Tuscher was the first to break the Ocon lap time, then the Trident cars of Oscar Tunjo first, and Luca Ghiotto secondly, move his GP3 to the final top2.
